ANGEL LEAF BREAST FORMS

An alternative to reconstruction, breast prosthesis are kind of breast forms made to replicate breasts. These are made of different materials like silicone, foam or fibre fill, that can be worn inside a bra or inclined to the body with an adhesive. We present you with a complete range of breast cancer prosthesis products that are versatile and designed to give you a natural and comfortable feel. Manufactured by experienced makers at affordable prices in different styles and shapes for you to choose from, matching your body shape and need.

INCLUDES MULTIPLE STYLES WITH FEATURES DESIGNED TO IMPROVE COMFORT

Silicone Breast Forms

Silicone breast forms emulate the look and sensation of a natural breast. Originally crafted from solid silicone, they were burdensome and often uncomfortable, particularly in warm climates. Modern iterations feature air pockets, rendering them lighter and more wearable. Furthermore, recent advancements offer silicone forms with adjustable weights, allowing users to select a match for their existing breast. Aligning the form's size and weight with the natural breast helps reduce strain and back discomfort.

Foam Breast Forms

Your breast form needs can change depending on your daily activities, and the foam form is ideal to wear when relaxing because it provides comfort when you want it most. This lightweight foam breast form can be placed into the pocket of any bra or mastectomy top to maintain body symmetry during leisure or night time. The foam forms are ideal for:

  • During times of leisure when a full silicone breast prosthesis is not needed

  • During the night as a sleep prosthesis.
  • How do I care for my breast forms?

All breast forms come with instructions for how to best care for them. You can hand-wash some non-silicone forms with mild soap and let them air-dry, depending on what they’re made of. Some breast forms also come with removable covers that you can hand-wash.

Some silicone breast forms include cleaning kits with non-abrasive wipes and mild soaps that are safe to use on silicone. Certified mastectomy fitters can offer advice on which store-bought soaps or cleaners are safe to use. Breast forms with adhesive backings have special cleaning instructions to ensure they retain their stickiness as long as possible.

  • Will health insurance cover my breast forms?

The Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998 is a federal law requiring health insurance companies that cover mastectomy to also cover breast reconstruction and breast forms. Certainly, most health insurance plans offer coverage for breast forms and mastectomy bras — with a doctor’s prescription. Some health plans even cover more than one type of breast form if you need it. But it’s important to know that health plans don’t necessarily cover every type of breast form available.

  • What to expect from a certified mastectomy fitter

A certified mastectomy fitter is a healthcare professional who has completed training in how to fit women for breast forms. You may want to get fitted for both a non-silicone leisure breast form as well as a silicone breast form so you can wear them on different occasions. You can try on different types of breast forms until you find one or more versions that you like best. The fitter can help guide you so you pick something that’s right for you.
